Support for Pet Loss
About Us:

I provide services for individuals and families who have experienced the loss of a family pet.  Being an animal lover and pet owner for my entire life, I know first-hand the powerful bond that exists between a pet and their owner and what it is like to lose a pet, and the emptiness that that loss leaves behind.

I have experience working with a number of individuals who have lost a pet to illness or tragedy.  In my clinical experience, many individuals feel like they do not have family or friends who understand what they are going through, and I recognize that their grief is genuine and deserving of support.

Whether individuals are anticipating the death of a pet or whether their pet has died, understanding how they grieve and finding ways to cope with their loss can bring them closer to the day when memories bring smiles instead of tears.  My goal is to provide the support pet owners need in a time of grief and transition.
I have created this site and blog as a resource for those seeking to heal and grow from pet loss.

I have experience working with individuals of all ages in various settings, such as community mental health centers, public and private schools, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and private practice. I have experience helping individuals deal with various disorders, such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, anger management, and interpersonal relationship difficulties as well as completing psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.  Additionally, I have experience and interests in working with individuals who have experienced or are experiencing grief, loss, pet loss, and life transitions (death, terminal illness, incarceration, divorce) and utilize Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT).

Check out our Blog as it provides resources that will help you grow and heal after experiencing the loss of a pet.
